I saw this one on the Duke of Digital Blog: a company that lets you rent the camera lens you need (up to 400mm) for both Canon and Nikon (coming soon) cameras, and they ship anywhere in the U.S. (except Hawaii & Alaska). The site is called Rentglass.com and rentals (from one to three weeks) include shipping, and best of all, they don't count the shipping time in your rental. Sweet!
