Rainy Day Backup Plan: Shoot Your Buddy

So, what do you do when it's raining, and the sky is gray? You shoot an on-location portrait of your buddy Dave (shown here on a farm in Vermont. You can't tell it from the photo, but Dave's hand is frozen to his D200 Camera body. It took four grown men to pull his hand free. You're not buying any of this, right?). Anyway, I couldn't shoot the broad side of a barn (literally), so I took this shot of Dave (click for a larger version), and I also got a decent portrait of Vinny, and one of Moose this morning, which I'll post later, once I put down the Vermont Mable Syrup. ;-)

Where did he get that AWESOME jacket??
I love the Bokeh of this portrait. It is exactly that...a portrait...not a picture. It tells a story..between the camera and the apple jacket.I would love to have something like this taken of me to put on my works and the such. Great work..as always.
I see you captured Dave's laid back, relaxed personality. Dude, way to make lemonade amongst all those lemons.
Hey you!!!!!

He bought the jacket at Apple's HQ in Cupertino, CA. They have a store called "The Company Store" and it's open to the public, so if you ever get out there, make sure you stop by---it's Apple logo gear heaven.

That's the Nikon 200mm f/2 at work. The shallow depth of field is amazing, and I love it for portaits.

Hey you!
